Hi, I recently moved to Dublin and am interested in taking up MMA. I living near Miltown and wondering if there are any MMA clubs near by. I've no experience in MMA and was also wondering what equipment would be need and the costs of the equipment and the gym fees.
    Cheers

map here to some of the clubs in dublin

there is a club in UCD and a club near Balally luas station so they might be nearer but they're not on the map.

The only things you really need to invest in before taking up MMA training is a mouth guard (gum shield) and a groin guard (cup/box etc.). You can find these in sports stores like lifestyle and elvery's. the other equipment like gloves and bjj uniforms you can get some time in the future.

you should get the groin guard and mouth guard for about 20 euro and the other stuff can be quite expensive, exact prices will vary on quality etc. gym fees vary from club to club but are usually around 10 euro a class. most clubs expect people to sign up for unlimited classes a week etc. for a monthly payment.
