Hi does anyone know if this bet will be honoured????

i placed a bet for 1000euro on a football match today already knowing which team won.... the bookies where i placed my bet had not updated their website and had the match down for today when infact it was played yesterday... they accepted my bet no problem so are they obliged to pay me :D:D:D or will they refund my stake :(:(:( or will i lose my stake altogether :eek::eek:.

since placing the bet they have realised their mistake and now you cant bet on it anymore, they havent put up results for this match either????

could someone please help me out???

Check the T&C but they generally don't have to pay out if there's an error made.

And you doing what you did .. perhaps some form of cheating / fraud or some such which would void your bet anyway I'd imagine.

You'll get paid if they don't notice it. And you won't if they do. Simple as that.

Not a hope of being paid. Stake will be refunded bud.

They don't have to pay out as a palpable error was made

As many have said the do not have to pay to out as there was an error made.

Take for example the mistake PP made last week on Shane Lowry - they came to an agreement with those who backed him at 3000/1. There was no way they were going to pay out at them odd!

if someone slaps 50e on at 3000/1

why should they not pay out.?

its gambling,. pp set the odds, not the punter..?

Was this junior soccer by any chance? If so, not a chance of getting paid, books have been caught before on that one, would not think they would get caught 3 times?

I had a bet like that on betdaq. Was betting on the match inplay and after the result was up.

Had about 2000 bet on it by the time i had taken all the odds on the match taken.

Emailed them after the match and they settled the bet as a winner to me. I withdrew the cash from my account except for a few hundred. Log back in the next day acoount was about -800 the amount i had won. Then a few hours later they reversed the withdrawal of my account with out my permission.

Got them to close my account after

How did you manage to do that on the exchanges? Why were puters offering prices when the event was over:confused:

Someone in the purple place forgot to switch off the lights I'd say.

No chance of getting paid. Bookie can void a bet, win or lose, for any reason he likes.

But who was offering the odds?

Reminds me of the time paddy power online had david haye at 50/1 every round for a knockout against Gurov.......needless to say i didnt get paid anything close to 50's

They are covered in the T's and C's that they can rectify obvious mistakes after the event.

nice try but the bookies never loose on something like that. they just void the bet and return your stake.. its up to you to check the match has not started when placing your bet, even if you placed the bet and did not know the match had started and they lost you would be entitled to a refund so it works both ways :-)

Which match/bookies was it and how did you get on?
