Thought i would post this here to get any opinions that people might feel like offering.

My first Dubstep track, and the third track i have ever put together, so don't expect too much. Still, pretty happy with this.

im not really a fan of dubstep, not that i dont like it, but i do hear a good bit of it cause a good few of my friends are into it

a few areas were there is room for improvement

the drums are pretty boring, change the rhythm more maybe, throw in a few extra "fills" etc, i think this is quite important in dubstep to keep the track interesting, the main clap is a bit abrasive aswell in my opinion

the wobble is really cliche stuff these days in dubstep, this may just be a matter of taste on my behalf but i think the genre has been wobbled out, i find artists that dont use it seem to have better tracks

also a bit more higher frequency synth sounds may have made it into a fuller track

as you said tho its only your third effort, so its pretty good by that account, so if you keep hard at work things will only improve

    I think its good too..

Steve is right - A top melody over the top is badly needed.

Clap is good but maybe use it every other time - or at the end of a "verse" with a load of reverb / delay - Like a Dub effect.

One thing that I notice with Dubstep it the way they use different patterns or to be more accurate - different sections altogether in songs. Its kinda like Verse A / Verse B / Chorus / Change / Verse A / Chorus / Verse B / Change / Chorus - or something like that.. they really mix it up.

They'll sometimes also do a break, or an entire section with just a 4/4 kick & a synth pitching up & then drop everything back in.

Another thing you can do with your bassline (I'm sure you know, as its the "other" sound from Dubstep) - is automate the wave shape on it. Depending on your synth, you could go from warm & round to FM & harsh in a couple of notes. Automate the LFO on that as well.

Albino is the Synth that a lot of the Guys use AFAIK. I've seen lots of people saying that they use them. Any FM synth will do though.

The Rusko Tutorials on You Tube are great. Easily the most enjoyable Producer Masterclass I have ever seen. I dont make Dubstep, but he's a funny Guy to watch!
