    Hey everyone :)
I'm looking to get a new concealer as my old one is almost gone(and it was only alright). Just wondering what brands ye'd all recommend? I'm not too flush riight now(student and saving) so a cheaper brand would be preferable. Looking to cover under eye shadows(bane of my life) and minor blemishes/slight redness.
    Thanks in advance.

i use dr harnik under eye concealer..
its in a cube container, which opens in the middle, one side is a light yellowy concealer and the other is a darker more pink one..
its made for under the eyes and your meant to use the yellowy side first, and then the pinky side to blend it in with your skin tone..

i use it as normal concealer too and find it great..

got it in boots (up north) - think it was about £7stg or so, im sure you could get it down here

I just use Rimmel concealer. It's the best on I've found for it's price. Think it's just over a fiver. May be a bit heavy for putting under your eyes, depends how you're putting it on though! I've never tried any of the essence stuff but when you're paying like 2 euro for it it might be worth it to give it a shot and if it's not good you can get another one?

I've tried Rimmel and found it a bit heavy alright, not bad though, but I was hoping to find better! Might have a look at Essence.

I tried that before and gave it to my sister, really didn't like it. It was too watery to cover anything, or maybe I just have worse blemishes than you :p

i use the concealer from Aldi. Works wonders with the undereye darkness and redness. Cost about 7 quid I think! I heard the Tesco one is quite good too, but it wasn't pale enough for me.

The natural collection in boots do a good concealer, it's available in a couple of different shades too. A light version for paler skin and a darker one. It's about 3euro I think and it works great, even on sensitive skin :)

Oh yeah forgot to mention, I have almost white skin! :)

I'm pretty snow white myself and the boot's one seems to blend well with even very pale skin and foundations that I use :)

im pretty pale too (lightest foundations are usually too dark?) and the one i mentioned works for me if i only use the yellowy side :)

The aldi lacura one is great, Its under a fiver and the cashmere shade (lightest) is a perfect match for my skin. I'm also very pale!

I use the Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse concealor in the lightest shade, 02 natural (I thiiink...). I find it pretty good. I have atrocious dark circles and really really pale skin. Though, I have to put it on using a lip brush or it sort of does this weird clumpy thing (but I think that just might be my skin being weird...). It's about €10, from what I remember... It lasts ages anyway! :)

i bought this one too. tried it on when i got home and i was pretty happy with it. then my housemate tried it on too just on one eye to see what it was like, and she was happy with it too (we're both very pale, and only needed it for under eye and around the nose).
then that night i was getting ready to go out and there was no more product left?? after two goes? first time i clicked the product out quite a lot came out, but not more than like a centimeter blob. is this really cheap because theres hardly any product in the dispenser, or did i just get a faulty one (it was sealed when i bought it)? anyone else experience this?

 I would say that one was faulty. Mines still grand and I've used it plenty. Doesn't sound normal at all.

thanks bronte, i hope so, because i plan to buy another one if thats true, because it suited me pretty well for the price (although by the time i buy a new one to replace the faulty old one it will have cost like 10 euro, and i might've been able to buy a nicer brand... don't think aldi are likely to give me a refund on it?)

Thanks a million for all the suggestions guys, I'm actually excited to go check out all these different products! :) A good friend and fellow make up lover told me the Aldi one is superior to Touche Eclat in her opinion so I can't wait to see that one in person!! I have quite dry skin under my eyes also, the circles are bluish purple and very annoying

the aldi one is a good bit thicker than touche eclat, and i found that it highlighted some of the tiny bumps i get under my eyes rather than disguising them. the packaging is nice and looks more expensive than it is (but impossible to break apart as i've been trying to do to figure out of there really isn't any product left or if the clicking mechanism is just broken) - this is why i thought maybe you're paying for nice packaging with a very very small amount of product.
its worth trying out though. it was only about 5 last week, though there wasn't very many left in the store i was in (words got out it seems, and this isn't helping - lol) hopefully they'll have restocked. i heard there was two shades - porcelain and cashmere. i bought cashmere because it was all they had, and i found it surprisingly a pretty good color for me as it was pink toned. usually i go for things called porcelain because i'm so pale. maybe the porcelain is more yellow toned.

I'd mention it to them hun, they might give you a replacement...talk about annoying :(

Honestly the lacura one is actually a better match for my skintone than the YSL..I've got both concealers here and YSL is definitely a pinker undertone, which looks a little odd on me!

I also picked up a Lacura foundation for around 3 quid which is lovely!

I bought the catrice concealer which has 3 concealer, 1 pink coloured one and 1 green coloured one. I bought it for 4 euro (I think).

That's the one I'm just coming to the end of! I liked it at the beginning but noticed it emphasising the dryness under my eyes more and more as time went on, shades were odd too! I found the pink shade and lightest concealer shade were too light and attracted too much attention to the area also, so I usually mixed the shades. The lid of the palette also broke off which is really annoying.

In the end I caved and bought MAC's Select Cover Up in NW15, and my god is it amazing, nothing has ever concealed my dark circles so well! Still planning on getting the Aldi one when I get a chance though :)

i love the YSL touche eclait but like you say, a girls got to watch her pennies these days. Loreal do one that's basically the exact same and works just as well especially under the eye area. it's called touche magique. it you can't find it in the shops, there's websites where you can buy it online and they'll deliver to your door for free.

oh and it lasts for way longer than the ysl one. good luck

You need two concealers. The one for under your eyes is for brightening dark circles. This needs to be a light consistency and light-relfecting. For concealing spots and blemishes, you need to get a heavier, more powdery concealer. Putting Touche Eclat on them will only highlight them.

Hey, I didn't necessarily mean I'd use the Touche Eclat type one for blemishes, I reckoned it'd be too thin for that anyway like you said, I just wanted to try it out anyway as it's so cheap. I was thinking of waiting til I go to NY in September and getting a high end concealer for blemishes, it's just I have more of a day to day problem with dark circles. :)
