in what way is the marking done?

not being a very academic person i can imagine that my assignments wont exactly be amazing but i do know ill do well on the actual test.

anyone know what ratio the tests/assignments are marked to?

Can't remember off the top of my head but it's all in here http://www.city-and-guilds.com/cps/rde/xchg/SID-48B47543-7A28F94C/cgonline/hs.xsl/15591.html

The first PDF is the assessment handbook and the second is the handbook for the course. It's a handy study guide too so you can tick off the topics as you cover them in study.

As far as I remember the whole course it assessment based with regards to marking. I don't think anybody did the exams anymore, not since 7503 was introduced anyway.

What level are we talking about here? Maybe the exam is something the college just added in itself. It's been a a year since I had anything to do with the exams for C&G and I've tried to blot it all out!!!

    Here we go...
For this qualification, candidates will be required to complete the following assessments:
    • one assignment for each mandatory unit
    • one synoptic multiple-choice test covering units 101-107.

City & Guilds provides the following assessments:
    • online, on-demand testing using multiple choice questions
    • assignments.

    Test specifications
City & Guilds provides test specification for each unit of the qualification.

    Unit Total %
    101 17 34
    102 9 18
    103 10 20
    104 14 28
    105 9 18
    106 10 20
    107 14 28

No mention of a specific ratio but I think the exam is about 30% if even that. I could be however VERY WRONG!

When i did it with fas, it was based mainly on your continual assessment doing weekly projects, accompanied by a report on the project itself at the end of the week

totally differant kettle of fish now me thinks. no weekly assesment but a ton of assignments that are handed up at the end of year, accompanied by an onlin exam.
