Changing Boards links

As it is if you're on the mobile theme and if someone posts a link to Boards it gets changed to m.boards.ie.

What is annoying me a bit lately on my PC is if I'm on www.boards.ie and someone posts a Boards link to boards.ie. Is it possible to have these automatically changed to whatever one you happen to be browsing too?

Small thing, but would create much happyness for me :)

    Thanks

    I'm confused.

Do many people send you m.boards links?

Sometimes if I login at http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?threadid=2055573530 and then click a link leading me to http://boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?threadid=2055573530 I get logged out until I come back to the http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?threadid=2055573530 link.

    Does that make more sense?

The cookies issued by www.boards.ie are for .boards.ie so visiting a http://boards.ie/ link shouldn't log you out.

I can have a look at changing the links the way you suggest, but unfortunately the mechanism that vBulletin exposes for that is a little... primitive, so I can't guarantee it will work. If it doesn't work, it can of course be fixed with some development time but if we have to go down that route you might have to wait a while as other, higher-priority tasks get dealt with.

    You're absolutely right.

This is only a recent change isn't it? Before it used to log you out! It's just taken me so long to come and complain about it that you've fixed it in the meantime :)

The cookies have always been for the whole .boards.ie domain IIRC.

They haven't always worked for me. Definitely not.

That's probably a client-side issue or a server-side lost session (this happens occasionally) rather than a domain-based cookie issue though.

Happened all the time on different PCs...

Anyways, you can lock this thread up now as my "problem" has been "fixed".

    Thanks

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
