wasnt in work until 1pm all last week and watched jeremy kyle on tv3 a few mornings...the question i have for boardsters...... is this show for real or is it staged??...reminded me of the jerry springer show without the load cheering from the audience..

And yes i have no life watching shows like this but hey i was bored

Haha I was in the same boat with exams this week so I watched it a few times myself. He's hillarious though with his bravado infront of people who'd kick his head in if they got two minutes alone with him outside the studio and away from his security team.

I hate the way he gives out to alcoholics or drug addicts by saying "just give up the damn booze/drugs" and the everybody starts clapping.

Does he think its just as simple as that? No, of course he dosen't but he says it anyway. I bet you if he was an alcoholic he wouldn't be able to muster up the willpower to stop.

That's a brilliant article, very insightful. Just goes to show that these shows are not geared toward helping people at all, but just for entertainment purposes.
Sure wasn't his own brother a massive coke-fiend? Can't find an article about it but I heard it before. Apparently it's why he cares so much about 'helping' people in similar situations.

Cant make up my mind if its staged or not but I find myself watching some of the guests and listenng to their stories and thinking to myself why would you come on national television and broadcast; my mother is having an affair with my boyfrind/I cheated on you and the kid isn't yours/Im sleeping with my cousin etc.

Im watching it now, its the 1000th show special, they have 3 characters from Corrie on it, David Platt, Tina and Nick, playing their characters, when Nick started to meet Tina,obviously it's a p**s take!!
