I managed to take some snaps of the new self-sustaining park in Clongriffin (Donaghmede) before it opens this Wedneday (27 May).

It's pretty slick, altogether. The water system has some large-scale pumps which must keep the water from going stagnant. There are two playgrounds, a skate park (not a full half-pipe or anything), loads of soccer and GAA pitches, changing rooms, weird little exercise stations dotted around a 1 mile jogging track and cycle lane. There also seems to be a large family of hares living at the end, which, I hope, aren't affected by a large influx of people.

As public parks go, this is really nice. Those wind turbines are mad.
