You know the ones....the ones that are usually based in a hospital and are riddled with the following racial stereotypes:

Chinese = hard-working, asexual, perfectionists
Fat & black = Tough, maternal, give-out-sh!t to staff, unemotional except when on way home from work talking to colleague giving them a lift
Thin & black = hard-working, difficult homelife, husband a troublemaker
American = mis-understood, cool, deep

God I hate those shows. Bring back Quincy.

I get your point but the purpose of the forum is to discuss not only why you like TV, but also why you dislike it? At least he made some valid points on why he personally doesn't like such shows. I dunno. I think the entire forum validity is destryoed when there can be 100+ page threads on why Ryan Tubridiy shouldn't be the new late show host, with people just repeating the same opinion over and over again with Facepalm images

I think someone has a touch of the unconscious racism - are Asian-Americans and African-Americans less American than white Americans?

Not to mention Dr. Wen, head of surgery. He doesn't get much screentime though.


I read that in real life 1 in 8 American doctors are Asian, but only 1 in 40 are black, so TV kind of changes this... And also, only 24% of Asians are ninja kung fu masters, and most black people actually do understand what Willis is talking about.
