Ok so we just came back to it one day and it wasn't working. So, someone told us it was a software issue and we'd find a code online which would fix it.....which we did. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't but either way it only fixes it for 20 minutes and then it stops again.

    Any one any advice?

I'd say your remote is faulty - my code is 4 x 0 (sony bravia) - working very well

a bit obvious, but have you tried putting in new batteries?
