Alright guys. Using logic with a beheringer bcf2000 as my midi controller. All was great. Now i bought m audio's project mix. Great piece of kit but when both are working together their paths are crossing. Sometimes for example fader 2 on the bcf will move the same as fader 2 on the projectmix when they are meant to be different tracks. Am hoping to assign the 8 faders from each to be my first 16 tracks everytime i open a song on logic. Please tell me there is an easy solution and this can be done. I dont want my controllers to be fighting with each other.. Why cant we all just get along..... Cheers in advance guys..

ok simple explanation of what's going on:

your two controllers are sending identical CC messages. that means one knob one piece of gear is sending a certain number, and the other is sending the same.

Simple fix, figure out how to set the controller to output on a different midi channel. this is usually straight forward. normally just hitting 'channel' or 'channel assign' and hitting up/down or a number.

I use multiple controllers with ableton and logic so don't worry it just takes a bit of fiddling.

Oh btw, i have a bcf2000 and logic and they haven't behaved well together (i have a sneaking suspicion it's the bcf's fault) sometimes.
My UC33e causes me no problems though.

From the main menu select Logic Pro>Preferences>Control Surfaces>Setup.
In this window you will see your 2 Behringer units, one on top of the other.
Drag the bottom one up beside the top one. This will create a control surface group with channels 1-8 on unit one and 9-16 on unit two or if you select track 17 in Logic you will get 17-32 on the units.
If the above doesn't work post back because we will need to create the units in Audio/midi setup to tell Logic there are 2 of them.

Are there 2 units in the CS setup window?
If there are this should work.
    Delete them both then rescan.
Obvious but do you have a separate midi in/out for each unit?. In to one then out to in on the other then out to midi in won't work.

    If none of the above
Open audio midi setup from apps>utilities (in finder)
    Rescan midi.
Are there 2 units or any at all here.
If not add device (once for each unit) then name them unit one and two (by double clicking them) and run cables to whatever midi in out they are each going to.

If none of this works post back.

Alright track mix. Did exactly what u said but still nothing. Dam thing is breaking my heart. Logic is reading it but is not responding. Would have thought it would automatically set itself up from ttrack 9 to 18.. Any advice would be great..
