Hi all, I was fishing about 500m off Bray seafront today and spotted a big Basking Shark - dorsal fin about 18 - 24inches high. It only popped up for a few seconds, I think we disturbed it as we cruised past. Anyone else seen these big fish off the East coast this year?

By the way, the fishing was rotten - 1 lousy mackeral in 3 hours:mad:

dosnt surprise me there getting more common in irish waters.but it might not of been a basking shark as far as i know they stick to places that have a lot of krll or plankton more likley to be a whale following the sholes of mackrel:)
