    This man did!

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/asia-pacific/8064867.stm
A man threatening to commit suicide by jumping from a Chinese bridge was approached by a passer-by who shoved him over the edge, local media say.
Lai Jiansheng, 66, said he was fed up with the desperate man's "selfish activity" which caused huge traffic jams in Guangzhou, southern China.
Chen Fuchao fell 26ft (8m) on to an air cushion and is recovering in hospital, the official Xinhua news agency said.

But if you pushed him he wouldn't be a suicide jumper.

Erm, pushing a suicide jumper off a tall building onto the pavement is a little different to pushing him off an 8m bridge onto an air cushion.

They should build a 200 foot platform with a ladder off in the country somewhere where people can go jump in peace. Should weed out the attention seekers.

I love that bit, guy should be declared a national hero.

Greet with a handshake followed swiftly by a push, brilliant.

8 metres? Into an Air cushion?? FFS. I'd have tied a rope round his neck first then pushed him.

Pushing a suicide jumper seems quite redundant.

Not if it's the real reason that tipped the suicidal person over the edge.:pac:

Why push when you can put a bullet in him from a 1000 yards away.
Hey, he was gonna jump anyway.

With the traffic situation in Galway, if it happened on the quincentennial bridge I'd probably push him too.

Naw, he's have a soft landing in the reeds unless you could get him to stand directly over where some nice concrete would break his fall. Then you'd have a few gob****es stopping to have a look and **** the traffic up even more.

I saw a guy trying to 'commit suicide' off a bridge , which was about 6 or 7 meters from the water , which was deep and calm. He just swam to the side after he dropped. And ambulance and cop car waiting , a bit embarrassing really.

Reminds me of a girl who jumped into the water at the Claddagh area in Galway, tide was out, there she was with her arse stuck in a foot of muck, really embarrassing.:D

The roundabout there is a death trap. Maybe as I like to slowly walk across the road when I see your car.

I'd consider pushing a suicidal pair of trousers, but not a jumper.
    I like jumpers.

Yes... Because I need something soft to land on, don't I?
