Films about "The Troubles"

So I just got done watching the film "Hunger." The only other film I've seen about any sort of Irish political unrest was The Wind That Shakes the Barley and, incredibly loosely, Breakfast on Pluto (doesn't count other than one or two scenes and the time period, but it's a fantastic film anyway!).

Are there any other good films about the Troubles? I find them interesting since I didn't grow up learning about it at all, except maybe one or two days loosely covering it in history class during school. I've done research on my own time about it, read articles and books and things, but films like Hunger I find fascinating in how brutal and visceral and honest (at least I think they're honest in terms of the brutality) they are.

    Suggestions?

Are you reffering specifically to films about "The Troubles" or Irish war and conflict in general?

For both categories there is Michael Collins, Some Mother's Son, Bloody Sunday, In The Name Of The Father and most recently, Fifty Dead Men Walking.

I'd recommend In The Name Of The Father and if you can find it, The Treaty, a TV version of Michael Collins' story and IMO better than the film.

Mostly about the Troubles, Hunger is the first one I've seen that's specifically about it, but anything about Irish history would be interesting to me as I know very little of it. It wasn't covered much in our history classes.

    The Crying Game
    Borstal Boy
    The Boxer
    A Prayer for the Dying
    Omagh
    The Long Good Friday
5 Minutes of Heaven and Harry's Game,

Please stay away from The Devils Own and Blown Away as the ''Oirish'' accents are deeply embarrassing all round!

Hennessy (1975) is one thats usually forgotten. Does Patriot Games count? ;)

The Violent Enemy (1968), Hidden Agenda (Ken Loach) There was a trilogy of TV plays Starring Kenneth Branagh made by the BBC "the Billy" films http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0084804/

    Cal (1984), Angel (1982)

Another is The Outsider, which was Dutch made and has dissapeared completely, by all accounts its a good film.

In the Name of the Father is a must. Daniel Day-Lewis won an oscar for best actor. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0107207/

The Crying Game is also a very good film. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0104036/

    Bloody Sunday

It is more a prelude to the Troublies but it is one that you should see none the less.
