Where can someone go for a good hollywood wax in Dublin?
My girlfriend has had it done in Chicago and its as if the irish waxer's dont know what they are doing. Any suggestions? Last time got burned by hot wax.

Yep - 2nd that. Brazilia are the best. It's a little easier to get an appointment in the Sandyford salon than the one in town if that suits. I also went to UrbanWax for a long time and they're really good too.

Been to both and both very good. And I've had my share of waxing disasters!

For Hollywood: Brazilia - 55 euro or Urban Wax 65 euro.

Brazilia demand your visa/laser details when making an appointment...so if you cancel less than 6 hours in advance they charge you. Cheeky gits!

Well not really since they are so busy!!! I rang there twice before trying to get an appointment but they were booked out. I have to ring a good few weeks in advance to get a slot!

My GP is booked up. My physio is booked up. My hairdresser is booked up. but still none of them are cheeky enough to charge you in advance. if they are that busy then they can afford to take the hit of the odd person genuinely unable to show up for an appointment. ill take my business elsewhere.

They don't charge you in advance. It's to dissuade you from not turning up for an appointment. It's standard practice in a lot of places.

Grand, one less customer - more likely for me to get an appointment at short notice. :)

they asked me to pay cash deposit prior to the appointment as i didnt have a laser. that IS asking to pay in advance.

Fair enough, you didn't say that.

Was gonna get into a big debate but why bother. I go there, think they're great. No complaints from me. :)
