    They are UHF aerials.

Technically it's possible there with a quad array of 18 elements aerials or a single so called 100 element (Triax, Katrien, Unix) etc.

But not worth the effort. A 60cm dish gives you more free UK channels inc BBC HD. You can feed up to 1000 TV set boxes with suitable distribtuion equipment quite cheaply too.

I agree with Watty on this - even if you could get a signal that far down, co-channel interference with RTÉ 1 and RTÉ 2 from Three Rock will kill off a significant amount of channels unless you use some very fancy aerial techniques that isn't normally used for domestic installiations.

Satellite will be handier, likely to be cheaper and less hassle with all the five main UK terrestrials available, spin-off channels from BBC, ITV and Channel 4 and a few other Free-to-air channels that occasionally at least have something worth watching (the "Zone" channels in my own opinion are the best of this bunch).
