I am what you might call a portly runner...

    6'3 and about 16.5 stone.

Recently I have decided to up my weekly distances.

I've been doing about 55km+ a week, everything going fine until Tuesday.

I have a slight twinge in the entire of my lower right leg. I have looked at some of the symptoms of shin splints and it doesnt really match up? It doesnt affect me when I walk and cant feel it while static. its only as I move off my toe or on the initial impact when putting my foot back down.

I know there are very strict rules about ANY kind of medical advise, but thats not what I'm looking.

    Just tips?
