    Hope it's got a better engine in it than the 99 1.8 Mondeo. That was a right POS.

    dont know what its is about the mondeo's....they just remind me too much of a garda car unless you were to get alloys:)

    the LX mondeo has a less powerful 1.8 engine than the Zetec model and should be avoided if possible. apart from the engine, the spec is bog basic too, given the huge number of Mondeos out there, you can afford to be fussy.


    the one you have there is an LX.

    yes i heard some where that you can have a ford fiesta 1.2 16v and between the LX and Zetec the Zetec has a better performance, best thing to do is to get a better model then the LX but thats just my opinion.:)

    I have a 2003 1.8 Zetec (125ps)
    which is great to drive & has some nice extras that the standard LX does not have.
    Zetec has -Alloys,rear elec windows,elec & heated mirrors,
    front fogs,nicer dash -silver instead of black.

    Lx engine has only 110ps(1.8)
    get a zetec if you can,should cost roughly the same;)
