I had my daughter in Truesdale at the Gala on the Burrin Rd and later in Melines creche on the numbers Rd in Graigue.(both owned by Meline).
Very good creche's in my opinion.

I've also heard good reports about the new one (about 1yr old) that is on the road linking the Wexford Rd and the Hacketstown Rd.

Sorry, I was answering your question when I posted that. I was just adding to the list.
Tippy Toes is open alot longer than 1 year and its not on the road linking the Wexford and Hacketstown rd either so I don't think its the one you're thinking of.

Oh yeah I know that, what I meant was I was also going to add Tippy Toes on my original post but was unsure of the correct name so held off.
Is it the one on Green lane yeah opposite the youth center lane way?
I think its owned by a Jenny Murphy so I can only assume its a good place as she seems to be a nice person from what I know of her.

I seen prices for it up in my daughters school recently, they seemed pretty reasonable too.

    Ah I see.
It is indeed opposite the youth center and Jenny is the owner. My ex worked and maybe still works there. I know nothing of the prices but Jenny is a lovely woman.

Cant remember the exact price but will have a look at the sign again Monday to see what it says.

As for Green Road. I think that the Institute of further education run some sort of creche at the back of the tech there don't they?

Also there is another one out the Black Bog road area

Green Road and Green Lane and 2 different places. Green Rd, is behind the college isn't it? Green Lane is the road that goes from Shamrock Square up to the roundabout at Dr Cullen Park.

Cool thanks for the link! People are tellin me its shockin expensive:rolleyes:?!! Surely for a few hours one or two day a week wouldnt be crazy or are you tied to a certain amount of hours for a vertain amount of money?

Does anyone here just leave their child in for maybe 10 hours a week or somthing along the lines? Can you give me a rough idea of the prices

Realtai Geala Montessori Preschool & After School is excellent as is O'Regan's Nursery & Playschool St Martins Quinagh .Both ladies who run them have high standards and are lovely to the children.

Quinagh would be handy if you are on the Green road.

there's the Naionra (irish immersion playschool). you have the option of sending a child for 3 to 5 mornings a week, or maybe an afternoon or 2 also. compared to creches and the like its relatively cheap as they are located is RAPID or designated disadvantaged areas so as far as im aware, the cost is subsidised, making them more pocket friendly.

ooops sorry, the Naionra only start taking children when there are 3years.

since he's only 13months, i think your only real option is a creche then.

I know it sound mad cause he's only 13months old but we got the heads up when our lad was 6 months old and rang and at that stage he was 52nd and they only take 50 and siblings of kids in the school get preference but their name's might not be on the list. so i seriously doubt our fella will get to head there

Are you looking for public or private crech? My kid goes to the crech in askea, I don't like it much but sometimes its only what you can afford.

Gaelscoil takes in 60 junior infants each year.
