flight and hotel booking

    Stupid question I hear some of you say but which is better to book first, flight or hotel? I'm planning a trip and don't know which to organise first. I don't want to book a flight and have nowhere to stay but I don't want somewhere to stay and no flight! :rolleyes: I know people who leave their accomm till they get there but I'm not that brave! :o

    Well I always book my flight first to get the cheapest fares possible (I might be originally planning to leave on the 4th and come back on the 15th but it might be €80 cheaper to leave on the 6th and come back on the 17th, for example), and then work the accommodation around that. It's highly unlikely that you'll be left without accommodation if you book the flights first.

    why cant you look up flights then check accomodation before anything is booked??
