Anyone know how to start out as cabin crew? Or if there are even many vacancies at the minute? Was looking on some airline websites and none of them say the procedure for starting out :o thanks!

try the Cabin Crew Wannabes forum on www.pprune.org. You'll find plenty of info there. In Ireland, Ryanair generally recruit quite a bit, but it's a tough slog and you'll pay for your own training etc. However, that said, it's a good entry point - many people start there and move to other airlines.
