    Hi,
I have my driving test next week. It's in the middle of the day so there is no one i can get to go with me to the test. It states on the RSA website that you must be accompanied by a licensed driver. I'm just wondering if they are strict about this cause obv i don't want to go and lie to them and i also don't want to go and not even be allowed to do my test as there isn't a fully licensed driver with me.
Anyone encountered this problem or have any advise?

    Thanks

id say it depends on where ur doing ur test at the mood of the tester!
my oh done his test and drove over on his own and wasnt asked if he brought anyone with him.
what time is ur test at? if its early mrn you could say someone went with u and then got bus on to work ?

It's after 2 so i guess i could say that the person has gone off for a coffee but i'd be afraid the tester would wait around for the phatom fully licensed driver after the test!
Guess it's a risk ya have to take

I did mine driving unaccompanied, and they never asked. They're there for the test, not to make sure you are truthful. That said, if it's at all possible to have anyone in the car, I'd do it. I was nervous as hell going into the test that they would ask, and it made me do a little worse on the test than I might otherwise have been.

Yeah the thing is it isn't possible for anyone to accompany me so i guess i'll have to hope that they don't ask. and if they do i'm torn between lying or just telling the truth?

It's in raheny. I don't know anyone out that end-most of my mates would be in work at that time of the day. I've asked around and most people say they don't ask but the way they are lately with whole NCT thing, driving without l plates etc it seems they have become real sticklers about things so it'd be just my luck if i was asked!

Dont worry about going up on your own to the test. The examiner wont generally ask and its not his authority to refuse to take you on these grounds. Just concentrate on your driving and best of luck to you:D

If it's after 2pm that's great because your imaginary accompanying driver came with you during their lunch break and had to rush off to be back to work for 2pm ;):)

They probably don't even ask because it is not within their remit, their job is to test you and the tester is therefore your accompanying qualified driver :)

    Good Luck!
