I know this is some way down the racing calendar but does anyone know what date this will take place?

AAI fixtures calendar http://www.athleticsireland.ie/content/?page_id=714 shows the 4th October, 11th October and 4th November for County Cross Country Championships. Any ideas as to what date the Dublin event will be on?

    cheers

what classifies someone as a novice?

as far as I know, you are a novice until you win a novice race or a part of a team that wins a novice race, then you are classified as an intermediate. theres an old boards thread somewhere that explained the differences

Depends on competition you're in as well. Leinster and National have their own definition tied down but county boards can define their own for county championships. In Meath you only lose your novice if you are an individual winner of the novice race.
