Feedback from those lovely HR people

I had two interviews for a graduate programme job which I did not get in the end.As it was my first proper experience of an assessment center I politely requested feedback on my performance and interview skills (or lack thereof ;)) and the request was graciously accepted. I was told I would be contacted within the next week.

From anyone who has ever made a similar request, how long were you left to wait before you received your feedback?

Now I am aware that most companies would not be arsed with giving feedback whatsoever, but in the final stage there were only 12 applicants left and they seemed genuinely receptive to the idea of giving me feedback. I have been left hanging for almost three months now! I contacted the company again last week as I have another assessment center to look forward to.Again I was told they would get back to me by the end of this week and here I am waiting once more!

Are all HR people like this?

"Are all HR people like this?"

No but a lot of them are. However they could be relying on the hiring manager to get back to you so it might not be entirely their fault. Unfortunately you may just have to take it as it is and move on.
