6 Senior Football matches Derry and Monaghan being the pick of the games I think home advantage will swing it for Derry. Some other interesting ones being Kildare and Offaly, Kildare by 2.
Tipperary v Limerick a draw and Longford v Wicklow will also be tight with Longford just shading it.
Might be worth doing a lucky 15 on 4 draws on the above fixtures.
Cork and Galway will easily win their matches.

    Derry vs Monaghan
    1-10 to 0-10
An atrocious game. Fouling, Pulling Dragging diving... awful advert for the game.
Monaghan possibly the better team, but Derry pulled away, despite being a man down.
Fergal Doherty sent off and 5 more could have followed. 4 yellows each as well.

Best advert yet for the new rules however. The less we see of both teams this summer the better in my opinion.

Couldn't agree more good win for Wicklow as well.

Yeah, fancied Wicklow to win today, they were a good price :D
They won by 2 points right?
They just highlighted some on the incidents on TV. Awful actions from both sides, Knee in the stomach, kick in the back of the leg, random fight at the complete opposite side to the play.
The GAA need to act now, hand out a few suspensions, make teams know they can't act like thugs and get away with it.

Wahey, a Wicklow win again in the Championship. Shold get used to this now haha.

A dirty depressing game only Paddy Bradlley shone.

Great win for Limerick today even though they made it as hard as they could for themselves.

A trip to ennis to play the Banner now

just on my way back from the limerick match! Brilliant first half for them, second half was brutal though! Tipp were all over them!.. Great for limerick football though.. Is it on in ennis, realy? Nice one..

Just back from Thurles myself. A game of two halves really. Limerick owned the first half and really should have been out of sight at half time, the Tipp goal before half time was a real tonic for them. Second half was controlled largely by Tipp, but once they got the gap down to 2 points they couldn't push on. That easy free for Tipp that came off the post at the end was the real winning of it for Limerick. We did look very slick in the first half, opened Tipp up at will. Tipp had to fight hard for their scores in the second half, while towards the end we got the scores that counted. Limerick's shooting and point taking has definitely improved, very impressed with Ger Collins and Cormac Joyce Power. John Galvin as per usual a tower of strength in midfield. Brian Grogan and Kevin Mulryan played second half stormers for Tipp. I think taking this game to Thurles actually backfired on Tipp- as a mark of their current form and new found confidence, they thought they didn't need a tight pitch like Ardfinnan or Clonmel, that they could outplay Limerick on a big pitch. But as today showed, Limerick have more big game players and are probably more accustomed to playing in big wide open spaces. Added to the fact that Limerick are still the better team, no matter what happened in the league :-)

Sick I missed it to be honest. The city board in their infinite wisdom scheduled our Junior B match for today at 2. From what I could gather from the radio we really wilted in the second half. Only scoring three points in the second half isn't good enough(or was it 2 points) so there is plenty room for improvement.

We can't take Clare for granted either so onwards and upwards for our match against the banner.

    Luimneach abu!!!!

Was at the game today. Waiting to see on TV what I missed Live, having to try watch the whole field.

Without condoning anything untoward it was no different from every Ulster match for the last 20-30 years, or indefinitely.

Funny to hear John O'shea debating with Keith Barr on Jimmy Magee's radio programme after six, about the need to remove such 'aggression or intensity' from the game.

The Derry V Monaghan game was dirty. For a captain I thought the Derry captain really let his team and county down with his antics.
I was listening to the Jimmy Magee show after 6 on RTE and someone made the point that until the GAA (or referees) start to make an example of players and have a game with 7 a side after a spate of sending offs the kind of game like today will always happen. It might spoil one game but it would make players think twice before acting the way they did today.

John O'Shea is a loud-mouth who sparks a lot of controversy when he comes on and discusses sport.

I was at the Derry v Monaghan match today and I think that the whole 'dirtiest game ever' tag was a bit harsh. There were hard hits from both sides, but you's be disappointed if you didn't get that in the Ulster Championship. The Sunday Game went to town on the indiscipline, only giving a brief segment to the rest of the actual match! Unfortunately there were a few dirty digs, but I was more disappointed at some of the shooting and passing than the digs. Other than that it wasn't a terrible match.

With regards to Derry v Monaghan I wasn't aware that the GAA supplied hand bags as part of the kit!

That's all it was for 70 minutes, punctuated with a few moments of decent football nothing really outstanding tbh.

On today's merit I couldn't see either team progressing too far in the championship.

In the Derry and Monaghan match, both teams primary aim was to stop the other team playing and unfortunately this meant the niggling we seen throughout the match. When it boiled down to it in the last 10 minutes Derry actually had to play a bit of football to get over the line and got some nice scores to close the game out.

Just caught the end of the commentary on RTE radio 1 at work yesterday on the Derry v Monaghan game. They said "will be interesting to see the panels view on the Sunday game tonight as what went on in that game was shocking".
Sat down last night to watch it and right, a lot of niggly incidents but have seen far worse. The Derry player that stuck his knee into the Monaghan player was bad alright.
There will be far worse this year, just it was the 1st high profile football game this year.
Had to laugh at big Joe condoning that kind of football:rolleyes: (The Godfather of that kind of football)

True, though I think this was a case of Derry being dragged down to Monaghan and dare I say, Armaghs level! Doherty is a fine midfielder but he has to learn to control the temper.

Derrys test will be Tyrone or Armagh and trying to get 2 consistent performances together. When they concentrate on football that is some forward line.
