Playing junior scratch cup on sunday here, anybody kno what its like? its only €15 to play so just woundering if its a nice course.

Being a bit biased here but the course is in great shape and you are in for a treat.Like to hear your views after sunday.2 short par 4s are the second and seventh with the seventh hole very hard to hold even with your second shot,has a big run off to the back of the green.The tenth par 3 had to be shortened as people were getting lucies and ending up in back gardens that are a long way away.Apart from that the course is long very long.Enjoy the spectacular views.See you at the prize giving:).

I agree with Irish Coffee's point about it being long. It is in fact a slog (only my opinion after playing it twice). You'll be wrecked after the 18 (if you hit as many shots as I did). There is a par 5 about half way round and after you climb to the tee you'll be lucky to have enough energy to swing the club. . . LOL

Views are spectacular, the course is always in good nick and staff and members always make evetone feel welcome. I'll be there too but don't expect to be at the prize giving .

Is it 18:D or 36 holes?

Watch out for the different greens as the ball runs different on about 4 of them from what I can remember last year.

Weather is to be dry with only a light breeze so ideal for good golf.

18 holes as it's too long,the greens seem to be sorted now mate and are in great condition.The walk from the 10th green to the 11th green is not as steep as it was as a new walk way was put in.The craic in the bar is legendary.There is still times available on the sheet.

Great to hear about the improvements Toffee.
Although I'm not looking forward to my very early tee off (pre-8:00) as my golf has deserted me over the past week.

Thanks mate,just finished the worst round of golf i have played in 5 years ha ha ha.Anyway i can't wait for my 2nd trip to wembley this season.

Wel played today anyway, weather excellent and course very good well maintained. 2-3 of the greens were abit ropey but other than that course way very good. plays long alright but i like that, great views on some holes and you need to be able to play all the shots to get round. shot 82 off 7. cut to 7 last thursday. happy with 82 for playing the course blind. will be back again next year def or maybe even before it:) Great value at €15

€15 was some value,there is some pitch and putt courses nearly charging that.78 won after and i half to say the course was in better nick last week.I am unfortunately driving it sideways at the moment.Glad you liked please come again open week in July.
