    Hi lads.
Doe anyone know or has heard anything of reloading becoming Legal in Eire?

Wait and see when the explosives act is rewritten. I've given up trying to predict things based on logic, discussion and reason, so you'd be as well to consult a magic 8-ball as to try predict our current minister's actions. I for one definitely hope that a mechanism for it can be provided and clarified. It would be a nice hobby, as dwighet says, and the only way some of us will be able to shoot our chosen calibres for various reasons, be it the lack of factory ammo, prohibitive expense, or Irish dealers not stocking relatively rare calibres (Anyone sees Lapua 6mmBR ammo anywhere or Norma Diamondline, let me know!)

I think the garda feel that while the crims have access to firearms they have limited access to ammo, and that if reloading was allowed they would have access to unlimited supplies.
I know it sounds daft but thats what I heard.

Thinking that 7mm-08 could benefit from reloading then Dwighet? :p Having seen it in the flesh and handled it, it's a beauty, and no wonder it kicks you around with the weight of it!

If you could please send me a "Letter of Permission to Reload" then by your common sence (that you have a complete lack of) I'll be OK to go.

I could show it to the Judge as he sends me down.

...and I think that the OP's question has been fairly thoroughly answered by now. Closing thread.
