Hi, having a bit of a problem with Google lately. For the last couple of days every time I search with Google and select a site from their list, it automatically goes to this website: letitfind.com/....

Sometimes it says “Loading….” in the top left corner before it goes to the letitfind site and then on to some other site. Usually, if I hit back and then click the link a second time or sometimes a third time, it will bring me to the correct site I was looking for.

If I type an address straight into the address bar, there’s no problem and similarly, if I use Yahoo everything works fine. It only happens with Google, so I don’t know if Google has the problem or if it’s with my laptop. The same thing was happening a few months ago and it eventually just went away.

As far as I know I have an antivirus thingy on my computer, if that makes any difference. I could set Yahoo as my homepage and install a Yahoo toolbar instead of Google but this would just avoid the problem rather than fix it. Has anyone else experienced any of this or does anyone know what to do about it? Thanks.

Hi, this sounds like a malware infection which is redirecting your search results. Very common.

Maybe a mod could move this to the virus and malware removal forum and in the mean time you could follow the steps in this sticky
