alright, a work colleague will be getting married next week..
I've been invited to the evening reception..

I've have never attended a western culture wedding of any sort..
Can someone tell me what is typically required in terms of gift..??

I know for asian countries we typically give money in the form of red packet..

In the western culture money usually makes the best present too :) Though you could ask your colleagues if they want anything in particular - it's ok too. nobody will be offended. From my own experirence - people just prefer cash.
