Im afraid I wont now be going.Owing to rigid jobsworthism and bad organisation, I have asked for my money back.

Is it common for organisers to insist on 8 prebooked and prepaid entries before they will let a Club have a stand? Ive not come across it before

Good luck with that. We were booked in for last years show and they cancelled it due to weather. never got a penny back off them

8 prebooked and paid does seem excessive. What does it cost to prebook?

i think it was €9.In fact as the exhibits ARE the show, its a bit off to charge at all, especially when you work out how much it costs to drive there from Cork in a 3 litre V6....

Rostrevor Show at the old venue is the week before.....

You may have missed out. Finishers awards, a useful insulated red rucksack, were available and afik individuals who booked were contacted.
    This from AOVC site

All entrants who had booked on a Club Stand for the 2008 Cancelled Kilbronrey Show should make contact with their Club Secretary to obtain their Finishers Award.

Entrants who were booked in the General Display Area should make contact with Mrs Hilary Halliday at Newry & Mourne Council to arrange to collect their Award from the Council Email hilary.halliday@newryandmourne.gov.uk

I am not a member of AOVC but am concerned that everyone should feel welcome at events in the North.

Ha! I see Cork has disappeared from the list of places entries have been recieved from in their latest news update email. No word on my refund though and no word of apology for the mess they have made of our booking. W ecertainly dont feel welcome at THIS event in the North:(
