Mods - apologies if this isn't permitted in this section.

I work for a busy (!) civil engineering consultancy based in Belfast primarily working in hydrology, flood risk, and water quality. We are seeking to employ a placement student for one year, preferably an honours BEng/MEng student but IT diploma students would be considered.

Obviously we aren't expecting vast amounts of experience but preference would be shown to someone with a strong academic background in hydraulics, hydrology etc with some AutoCAD experience.

For further details and email address to submit cv to, PM me.

    Cheers

I'm surprised you didn't get a few replies already. I know there are tons of Civil Engineering graduates who would be delighted with any job. Are you allowed to name the company? I'm just graduating from Civil Engineering myself this year. (Finished 2 days ago). I managed to line up a Summer placement in Belfast as well, was just wondering if you're working with the same company as there don't seem to be that many that are looking to take on students nowadays!

I'll pass this link on to a few friends as I'm sure there's plenty people who haven't got a job sorted.

Lots of CVs have been recieved before I posted on boards, just quite a few that arent very good - hence I'm widening the net on here.

A lot of students and grads haven't seemed to have copped that it isn't a case of fire off a badly formatted letter and cv and the offers will come flooding, like it was a few years ago. Employers can afford to be very picky and rightly so.

Won't be naming the company on here as tbh we're doing very well in a struggling sector and don't want to draw attention to ourselves. Anyone who wants to apply can pm me and I'll give all the details they need.
