    OK Here goes ,

Have been trading for 3 years
Vat on Income tax done for the past 1-2 years
Have ony been maing around €100.00 per month for myself.

I went to the Social Welfare and applied for Job Seekers Allowance.
Told the truth about everything , Bank statements etc.
I asked them if I should close the company . They told me NO.
So fair enough I kept it open
Have been told that I should be able to claim €300+ since I am still earning some money.
So next of all I went to the releaving office to help get some payment for my morguage since I am so far behind.
I was told that they connot give me anything since I am still self employed

Does anyone know the easyiest way to close down a Sole Trader

Cheers I hope somebody can help

You should fill in a form trcn1(attached) to notify the tax office you are ceasing trade. You will have to do accounts up to date of cessation aswell.

If you have any questions, ring up your local tax office and they should give you advice.
