    Can any one recommend a martial arts club for a 5/6 year old boy in Limerick area?

    My kids both do Tang Soo Do on Saturday mornings in teh Project School ath the top of O'Connell St. Classes are a tenner and the kids really enjoy them - lots of fun, running around (dodgeball, a tag rugby type game) but plenty of technique as well. TSD itself is mainly a striking art but teh kids do a lot of grappling as well. Website link here

    One of teh lads here also does HanMooDo which has kids classes. I don't know hiom apart from on here but he comes across as sound and committed.

    Dermot McGrath has an excellent kids program in his gym - Pankration Academy. Caters for Kids Kickboxing and MMA. His kids normally excel at competitions and he has the largest kids classes that I have ever seen, so he must be doing something right.

    Matt Fitzgerald runs several classes for all age groups great fun for the kids my youngest goes (12) and Matt will be opening new classes at more locations around Limerick later this year.

    They moved to a new place a while back. Don't know the exact address but if you head out the Waterford road, past childers road in the industrail estate on the right.

    Yep, I will be starting HanMooDo classes for kids again in September, Nothingcompares you can pop in and take a look or let him take a class and see if its for you guys.

    Check out Formula for Fun in Rhebogue , this is just off the Parkway Roundabout.


    At the moment classes are Tuesday evening at 7. Usually 2 classes run at 7 , each using a different hall in Formula for Fun and the kids have about 15 or 20 minutes play time afterwards
