I just a got a fine notification for a parking near UCC on the 28 April @ 10.18 am. The problem is I was parked at work that time in Carrigtowhill & the wife was at work( she walked to work)
How do they get it so wrong?

Ring the number on the ticket, thy probably got a digit wrong in the reg number.

    Happened to me once.

Wife is cheating on you. She took your car and parked it back in the wrong place.

Well when the council go looking for staff they usually pick the dumbest freakshow available, that's how they get it so wrong.
Try to reason with the freakshow & you will soon learn that it is possible for someone to function without a brain, despite what doctors think.

I came back to my car one time and someone left a note on my windshield saying parking fine. I thought I did a good job.

Happened to some one i know last month. Dont bother writting waste of time, ring them up, usually once they check the make of and colour of the car they will realise their error. It happens quiet a bit.

    Just pay the fine.

Yer man gets his commission and the world keeps turning.

Or fight it. To the death.

    Edit:

I once got an Unpaid Toll Notice for the M50. It said that I'd gon through the toll bridge at 11.55 on a Monday.

I had actually gone through it at 11.59.

    Stupid cnuts.

Maybe you have an evil twin who has the same car as you, except it's evil

I thought all of these people were on strike ??

That's the last time that I listen to an expert.

If they simply mis-typed the reg number then this can easily be proved.

It is highly unlikely that both your car, and the actual car that this fine was meant for, are the same make and model.

So if you contact the office and explain this, I'm sure you will find that the make and model entered at your reg is not in fact the make and model of your car.

When I bought my car from the garage it came with 9 months tax as an incentive to buy. After the nine months were up I went to renew my tax and kopped that the registration number on the tax form was different to the reg on the car.

I went back to the garage and they told me that they accidently put the wrong plates on it with an 8 instead of a 0. For nine months I drove around, and was actually insured under the wrong reg number. I often wondered who was getting all my speeding fines as I distinctly remember getting flashed on three separate occasions.

haha, jaysus you would have been screwed if you had an accident!!

My theory is that alot of those times them things just flash, and they're not recording anything. I've been flashed a few times myself and never gotten anything. Over 3 years ago.
