And it's up to AH to put them right.

Still, the chap will only get worse without treatment. And the amount of people sh*ting on about "freedom of choice" is incredible. The kids too young to make that kind of a choice and the mother doesn't have the right to f*ck modern medicine in the bin and let her kid suffer for her beliefs...

Wagon refused offers to him sober up, claiming "it goes against my religion"

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

They should be naming the religion, name and shame the cunts cult

Misquote, it was nothing of the sort. I clearly heard the words "Itshhh aaaguuu mmmMMMm reellllgun"

But yeah, people are stupid. Didn't they lock up the people who prayed over their daughter when she needed treatment? (and subsequently died because she was denied said treatment)

people on boards just hate religion. whats new there?

i seen another story there not so long ago when some mother stopped the cancer treatment so her 3 y/o would die a happy death. no religion involved there, still fairly depressing

His mother, Colleen Hauser, testified at a May 8 hearing that the family considers chemotherapy a potentially fatal poison
The most ironic thing here is how well this cancer typically responds to treatment.

This is the problem when people believe in something which there isn't a shred of proof for.

Reminds me of the recent case of the pilot who's plane was in trouble and decided praying would be a better option than attempting an emergency landing, all the passengers died.

I'm sorry but these people are absolute idiots.

Isn't chemotherapy a type of poison? Not in the traditional sense but it does kill both good and bad cells.

Having seen a fair amount of cancer in my life, i really should know more about it :/

Yes that's true, chemotherapeutic drugs are in a sense, poisonous. But that is a poison directed towards combating cancerous activity. My issue is with the words "fatal poisons" which sounds more appropriate to describe her version of her religious beliefs. Treatment for this type of cancer typically works very well.

That's the tragedy of it. The longer he goes without treatment the worse it will be on him. Another problem with this kind of zeal is that she is very unlikely to question her decision, meaning its not likely that she will bring him back for treatment willingly.

And people still say that religion isn't harmful?
Before anyone says it, they arent Jehova Witnesses.

    Complex issue. too tired. /off

Word. I'm currently getting treatment for Hodgkins. I'm 9 down with 3 to go. The idea is that it kills all rapidly growing cells, which cancer cells are. You're right, it does work very well for this, I'm almost cured, fingers crossed. Will find out in July.

Good luck with the rest of the treatment mate. :)
