Hey all, am new to the running, only really been doing it the past 2 months am in the middle of getting up to running 5k well. Problem is I have an issue with my right calf muscle. my calf gets v tight v quick when I walk or run, its not every day, and sometimes it goes away as quick as it comes on, but the days it flares up its a killer!!. It is causing a bit of pain in my shin now, and I am planning on going to a phsyio as I reckon its a prob stemming back to when I broke my left leg and was on crutches for 6 months. So thats hopefully gonna fix that one...

Now I know noone here can give medical advice, am not looking for that but basically I want to buy a new pair of runners which will help. I was in New Balance, they are grand but i find when i run on grass thats when it really plays up. So I was recommended Asics. I cant get time to go up to Dublin at the moment to visit amphibian king to get my run looked at, so was hoping that someone may advise which ones are good for my issue?? Is that a long shot? I kinda throw my left foot out when i run... are there any specific runners that would fix this> I will see about orthotics anyways but while I wait for all the appointments etc, any suggestions on new runners... help me spend my wages??

cheers hope this is ok forum - figured ye are the experts :)
