    Is it possible?
    I have a 22" Benq Monitor.
I also have a 17" laptop if it were easier to connect freesat to that.
Reason I ask is because my 32" Samsung is in for repair and I am reduced to watching this weeks Monaco GP on a 14" Portable

    Any Q's just shout
    cheers

I'd guess it's doubtful your monitor has HDMI?

I'd guess that a HDMI-DVI cable or adaptor should work. Just bear in mind that DVI doesn't support audio, so you'd need a seperate cable for audio.

    HDMI is digitial

    DVI has Digital and Analogue

VGA is Analogue only, so can't cheaply be interfaced. There are boxes that do it, but they aren't cheap.

Also your screen likely does not do 50Hz, but between 60Hz to 120Hz. So even with an conversion box the results are poor.

Laptops rarely have video in. If they do it's S-Video or Composite NTSC/PAL not HD.
