    how far back can you claim for medical expenses?
    how many years?
    i have private health insurance but could not claim all my money back..
    so i canm still claim the rest through the revenue?
    if i can how do they know if you have claimed for medical expenses?

    you can claim for the last four years through a med 1 form you will finr on revenue.ie need to include on the form ut total expenses for the year what u were paid by ur health insurance and ur pps no.
    and answer how do they knowthis is the tax man ur dealing with he knows everthing !:D

    correct seperate form for each year u will also need to know what u earned for the year ant the tax u paid for that year. all that u will find on ur p 60 for each year. filling the med 1 on the revenue site is fine once u have all the information required to hand and is far quicker in being processed
