Is it possible to get my HKC digitext card to text through the PAP2T to my phone via an SMS centre e.g. Eircom? Presumably this should work fine and without problems as the PAP2T acts like a normal phone line.

VoIP does not support SMS texting unfortunately. Besides, the Eircom SMS text messaging service only works on an eircom line. Do you know if your alarm supports a GSM digi dialler? This way, it would communicate via the mobile phone network and would no longer rely on your phoneline - VoIP or otherwise.

thanks for that. I have a HKC alarm and PSTN dialler. Looks like I would need to change over to a GSM dialler since moving from Eircon to VoIP. I wonder how much the HKC GSM dialler is?
