Galway interior.

Hi there, Hope I am posting in the right forum wasnt too sure should it be in here or in interiors and decorating (mods please move if needs be:o). I am just wondering if anyone knows if ther is any kind of service where you can have an interior type person come to your house and advise and maby give some written suggestions/sketches and a bit of advice on colours etc.
I know there are some great full on interior designers in galway but to be honest Im not looking for anything elaborate or designer Im just crap at picking things to match and look well together and I'd love a bit of guidance before I start redecorating so I dont end up fed up of it again straight away, At the minute its all brown and cream and Borrring! I only have a semi- detached so I dont think the top designers would really be interested and I couldnt afford them anyway :rolleyes: but I'd love some one to come in and listen to my ramblings on what I'd like and give me advice and then leave me to the work, I guess I mean a one off consulation for a one off fee. Sorry for the long post

Hi there. Maybe if you try in this forum: http://boards.ie/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=1043 you'll find someone (it's the interior design forum). If not, don't be afraid to go in to shops and ask their advice. Staff in any interior design/home furnishings type shops should be able to help you out with ideas and so forth. And if you're starting from scratch like this, well don't freak out if you can't settle on something the very first time out - take samples home, have fun with paint samples... At the end of the day, YOU need to be happy with what you spend your time and money on, so don't feel rushed, and don't get something just 'cos someone else likes it - if you hate it, you're stuck with it.
