Always nice to see the lighthearted rugby forum at work...

Anyways, I think Leinster will do it but don't see a lot in it.

    🤪

Tempted to go for leinster by 12 @ 5/1 with paddy power.. But realistically it'll probably be a closer game.

Play anything like they did against munster though and that bet might be worth a punt..

Don't want to predict a winner but I think it might be a low scoring afair with never more that a try in it.

    Dear Mr Chieka,

I hope your team win at a canter over the overated Tigers. Good luck to you all!!

    Yours sincerely,
A Munster fan jumping on the bandwagon.

Leinster's back-row and centres to dominate the breakdown and defensively and run out comfortable winners. Can't wait for kick-off.

I thought it was quite funny. Somebody needs to lighten up

    18-13 to Leinster.

leicester by 6 in low scoring game.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 634 ✭✭✭subfreq

A week ago I would have said it was going to be a day for the place kickers that Leicester will win.

After such a poor showing in the Premiership final I am not so sure now.

I think Leinster will score tries against them so shifting to it being a blue day in Edinburgh.

    Pah, where's your faith :P

    Leinster by a gagillion.

(If we didn't massively overestimate our chances before crashing to failure it just wouldn't be Leinster)

Leicester aren't great so Leinster by 15.

A repeat of the Munster performance and its as good as won.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 873 ✭✭✭Four-Percent

i would say leicester will dominate, leinster are undoubtedly going to be fazed by the favourites tag.I predict a low scoring affair with one team scoring in the last five minutes to seal it.

    I hope not though :o

    Hope Leinster do it

although I have a nagging feeling that the occasion will maybe get to them so I am going for the Tigers by a try

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 236 ✭✭ollieo

Hope Leinster win it, and think they will in a close game.

The irony of the sudden attitude from certain Leinster supporters that all they have to do is show up and lift the god damn trophy it's quite startling. Tigers have managed to somehow convince everyone that they are under dogs going into the final which is bizarre but hey whatever works i guess.

    Tigers by 10.

    SILENCE!!!! ALL OF YOU!!!!!

    SILENNNNNNCCCCEEE!!

Leinster are underdogs, we'll be lucky to win, let's keep it that way. ;)

    24-10- to Leinster

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,135 ✭✭✭fifth

    Leinster by 9 or more

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,881 ✭✭✭Hippo

Leinster's ridiculously tight defense to see them home, but not by much.

(Rugby Gods please ignore this post)

I have a feeling Leinster are going to win by around 2 trys.
Stuart Barnes was on the radio this morning and he said it best.

"The performance against Munster is light years ahead of anything leicester have done this season"

I just feel we have a more talented team, our backrow will dominate.

The best 2 teams left were irish which says alot about our rugby atm,Leicester arent a patch on Munster.
If we play like we did against Munster we will beat them out the gate imo.

That said its Leinster so they could not turn up and get hammered but according to reports they are relaxed and going about their business the right way,so we can only hope.

This optimism is madness, and making me nervous. I much preffered it when no-one gave us a chance against Munster. Everyone presumes we'll be able to turn on that sort of performance again, but it just doesn't work like that. You've short memories, people, it wasn't so long ago we were stodgy in midfield and couldn't buy a try. Leicester are serial finalists, and even if their team doesn't look frightening, they still have a good set piece and matchwinners in Murphy and Vesty. Steady it boys, we're tempting fate here. And for God's sake, COME ON LEINSTER!!!!

    Tigers by 10.

Since when are Leicester the underdogs? They can't be, surely...

What are the pundits / bookies saying? I've heard pretty mixed sentiment from the Irish / British press so far...

    Tigers are favourites marginally.

Stuart Barnes today said Leinster by a try or 2,some of the English hacks saying Leicester.

Every newspaper and article i have read has stated that Leinster are favorites and the Tigers have gone through every method of making themselves underdogs for this final.

Paddy Power and Ladbrokes don't. Have them both off scratch.

Have a fear that the ocassion might affect one or two of the Leinster players healy, sexton etc. I just remember Munsters first final and we all deep down thought it was a matter of turning up, you'll get nothing soft off Leicster, on the plus side the Leinster team is littered with experienced Internationals and lions to be and more importantly the one factor that I think might sway the game in Leinsters favour is Rocky Elsom, guy is just awesome!

For the semi final, I wasn't stressed before the game, I didn't think about it much. I just had this feeling that Leinster were going to show up and do the business.

Before this one though ... I'm a bag of nerves. Giving myself the runs everytime I think about it. I hate to say it, but I just have this horrible feeling that Leicster will take us by about 10 points.

On form, we should win it, probably on paper too. Just can't shake that feeling.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,920 ✭✭✭✭stephen_n

Leinster by no more than 5.

Probably going to be playing a game when the match is on which won't be a bad thing as my nerves would be shot watching it!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 303 ✭✭the immortals

probably the kiss of death here but i think leinster will win easy, have'nt seen much of leicester but against london irish i thought they looked a very average side

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 236 ✭✭gilmore

Leinster have played their final. Leicester to win by 6-10 pts.
