    Hi All,

    Looking for some advice.

I am looking at a car on autotrader and i have emailed the seller and this is the story...

They have currently moved to spain (where their family is from) and have taken the car with them. The car is a UK spec car (right hand drive) and they are finding it hard to sell in spain as no-one wants to drive it as it is too difficult.

I have expressed interest in buying the car and this is the deal they would arrange... The monies are sent to "Yahoo" they contact the seller saying they have money and the seller ships the car to my address (shipping to my UK address to my father) if the car is OK then we contact Yahoo and tell them to release the funds, if we are not happy the car is returned to the seller and Yahoo give me my money back... the seller has also stated they will pay for shipping and insurance etc...

I think this sounds a bit dodgy but i really like the car and i really want it (Nissan 350Z GT), has anyone ever dealt like this before or ever heard of this process????

    Thanks...

    Ever watch Fonejacker?

'Lads' as they're called will always make a mistake like that. They spend hours making these scripts sound legit but if you read it carefully they will nearly always make a mistake and put in follies like 'becos' 'moneis' and 'god bless'.

    they cant help it :D

I have just received another email with the cars details. Registration number, chassis number, etc and also a copy of a check done on the car to see if its stolen, financed etc... if this is a scam its a very good one... still having my doubts though...

it's dodgy it's laughable, I'm nearly of the opinion that if you get scammed by this kinda thing, you deserve it. Think of it as darwin awards for your savings.

Tell the scammer that you are in Spain next week, that you are keen on the car but would like to meet up and test drive it first. Watch him then give you some bull excuse or stop communicating with you altogether.

Forged documentation like what he sent you is an easy process for these people, he is showing you what you want to see. Trust me, there is no car in Spain, they just take an example off of the likes of carzone and do the rest.
