LUCAN PRIMARY SCHOOL WAITING LIST

My daughter is due to start primary school in 2012. I put her name on the waiting list when she was 12 wks old. I've been told that she is 89th on the list, and that there are only 56 places available. The school in question is Griffeen Educate Together in Lucan. Has anybody got any experience of school waiting lists? Should I be worried that she is this far down the waiting list, or is this quite normal ?

She may be ok as some people put their child down for every local school and then do not take up the place in a particular school. However, I'd have a plan B, just in case she doesn't get in to your first choice.
