I have one - can't use it thanks to a bad crash in the Tour of Ireland - PM me and we can arrange a pick-up?

We should have one thread for all late Wicklow 200 entry transfers because it really isn't fair! I was the first person to make a request in the original Wicklow 200 (2009) thread, followed by steinone and billyhead. Then we have mayan in his own thread and also in this thread, and the last poster I know of is isdatudisisme here?

Now, I contacted Tackleberry about getting his entry off him but he said isdatudisisme was the first poster in this thread and it was only fair to give it to him! What do you think, shouldn't there be some sort of queue here. I don't want to be sounding all grumpy here, but I actually think it is the right thing to do! I don't know, let me know what you think and if you can help me out in any way. Thanks in advance, I genuinely really appreciate it :)

P.S. Any entries me/my friends get will raise a lot of money for charity, so please take this into consideration when making your decision! Cheers

just turn up... ride the event. So you don't get a medal or a cert, big deal.

Already made one, but no luck! There don't seem to be many spare entries out there (yet anyway, thats what I'm hoping). I am just annoyed that I posted first here (and also on the other site which doesn't really matter) and that someone else can come along and get one just because their thread was at the top of the list (luck), when I have been trying so hard to source one recntly. Surely, I could just keep bumping my own thread up to the top but I don't think that is a good thing to do!

Thanks for the advice anyway! Fingers crossed now that more become available between now and the big day. Cheers, wish me luck :p

Agreed, would it be possible to keep all requests in this thread?
I've posted on the ww200 forum as well, seems there's a lot of people in the same boat.

Still looking so if anyone does have a spare......

Life isn't fair. Lose the self-entitlement attitude and you might have a better chance of getting an entry. I know that if I had an entry spare and I saw your post the WW200 forums, I would happily give it to someone else based on your attitude.

Ah cut him some slack. A heightened sense of entitlement and the need to say "it's sooo unfair" are all part of being a teenager, which H:B is apparently.

@Home:Ballywhatever - you should have got your finger out earlier a registered.

Still though, first come, first served would make a lot more sense. It wouldn't do for drive-by posters to get an entry while regulars have been looking longer.

Queueing - it's shit, but it's shit for everyone, so it works.

My entry is mine and mine alone btw.

Ya, I was actually in the middle of registering for the group of us individually online when the lines shut off completely. I got my own one, but that was it!

Listen lads, I'll just tell my mates to ride it without registering and bring a bit of food or stop in shops etc seeing as it's only the 100km they are doing! Sorry for annoying you if I did, but thanks for the sound advice!

Also, sorry if I came across as selfish penexpers, I didn't mean to! I just wanted to get some sort of system in place if possible and not just for my own benefit, but for the benefit of everyone on Boards.ie looking for a transfer. I don't mind anymore, but one thing is for sure is that I'll let the other guys here know if anyone contacts me offering an entry!

(Oh ya, who's first in line if I do manage to get one for ye!!! haha :P)

With all due respect lads and lassies, the entry was open from December 2008, which the best part of 5 1/2 months, it's not exactly like it's Leinster/Munster tickets or something, so I think it's a bit late to be crying over not having an entry in on time.
Especially if it was for something like a charity or An Gaisce or something, it would surely have been on the horizon for a good while no?

With equal due respect kenmc, i dont think anyone's crying.
I think people are just hoping that others may have registered and then their plans changed (entirely possible if, as you say, some people registered 6 months ago)
You could say that we're performing a public service, by offering to take on any unwanted places.

I for one have no excuse, i just wasnt organised in time, but would still like to ride the event legitimately.
Its not doing any harm is it?

Ya hear that?! Second in line!
    *gets poking stick*

But in all seriousness, if anyone has one spare pm me, or email me at lorcanom(at)gmail(dot)com.
Plus if I get a transfer y'all get to see my try do it on a fixed gear!

Good chance that I won't be doing the 200 (bruised ribs). Will try and do the 100, but doubt it. I'll deffo put it up on Boards with a week to go if I'm not up for it. See how the ribs work out. Seems like a very slow recovery though.

+1, why do people leave things to the last minute, then bemoan their "bad luck", I made this my goal when I started cycling last year, and the day that the entries opened, I applied straight away, insted of going "Ah, sure it's months away, there's plenty of time"

I accept and will say openly that it is my own fault that I didnt get an entry in time, plus being without a job and broke most of the time doesnt help:P.
