    I'd go for a remap if it was me as most reputable remapperd give decent back up.

    Dont most chips just fool the car into thinking its cold therefore making them run a little rich all the time?

    Never heard of them before.

    Go for a propper remap, diesels respond very well to remapping. I'd give Joe @ chippedIre a call, can't fault his service.

    spot on, its a piggy back ECU that tricks the car intot hinking its colder or more air or something which in turn the ecu pumps loads more fuel into the mix!

    better off with a remap imo

    we used martin in www.autoremap.ie last week and the car is transformed (320d)

    couple of guys here used him too and were very pleased on their journey home :D
