Seth MacFarlane's Cavalcade of Cartoon Comedy

Has anyone watched the entire season of these?

I have to say, I can laugh at most things, if there's a punchline, and I don't think anything is immune to ridicule or comedy but some of these absolutely appalled me. I mean they weren't even funny, it was like Seth just made them shocking for the sake of it.

The first Aids patient was particularly uncomfortable, and also the one where the guy was telling his aunt about his left over wedding cake... it was literally like watching someone stick needles in their eyes.

    What did others think?

how the hell was the aids patient zero 'disturbing'?

it was generally a hit and miss show, but I found myself laughing alot. It wasn't clever, or new.. or particularly interesting but it was a decent hours chucklefest.

The scene of a monkey having sex with a dude... yeah, I know, this has already been touched on with Brian in Family Guy, but they never actually show him humping a woman. I just found it all kinds of wrong, and it also wasn't funny. Maybe disturbed isn't the right word, but it was definitely uncomfortable, and not in the funny "The Office" way.

some of them are laugh out loud, some of them are mildly humorous, others aren't funny at all and a few are just downright odd. Like I said, the one where the guy tells his aunt about what he did with his left over wedding cake was right out of left field... I can't find a clip of it anywhere, probably because the whole thing would have to be censored :pac:

I guess if you find this one laugh out loud funny it's worth a watch.

I didnt find it disturbing I must say, just not funny.

Well, I laughed at the start but I grew tired of the quick fire clips and the laughs dissipated. It should of had 3 feature length stories broken up by the short clips.

    meh/10

Ok I've changed the word in the original post from "disturbing" to "uncomfortable".

You know what it was, a few of them whilst I was watching them made me feel like the scene with the son in "Funny Games", the ending of "The Mist" or that scene in "Irreversible". I don't mind feeling this in movies where you are supposed to, it just felt really out of place feeling that kind of uncomfortable while watching something that's supposed to be a comedy.

Call me a Satanist but I laughed during the scene with the son in Funny Games but that had more to do with it being the worst film I've ever ever seen (thats a whole nuther argument )

This one off from Seth is more or less indicative of the way Family Guy is going, for me it's entertaining enough (American Dad included) but no moulds are being broken. I like the 'distastefulness' when it's done right but the feature in question was very hit and miss.

Thats going slightly too far with that one. Wasnt really funny which is strange because normally I'd find vulgar things funny. But I really dont think a child should be watching that clip at all, and I'm sure many already have.

Some of it was awful, Fred Flinstone taking a dump was a 2 second joke stretched out to a few minutes of unfunny material

on the other hand, Bob Dylan meeting Popeye was one of the funniest things I've seen in ages

I found most of the celebrity ones good alright. The Jeff Goldblum and Matthew McConaughey sketches where very good.
