2 Aer Arann flights from Cork to Glasgow on Friday 22-May-2009 @ 1145 Glasgow returning Sunday 24-May-2009 @ 1625. Only a half hour train ride from Glasgow to Edinburgh. €150 each to a good Leinster/Munster/Lunster/Meinster home!:)

FYI for anybody thinking about buying those flights, according to Aer Arrans blog they fly to Glasgow Prestwick which is an 45 minutes to an hour from Glasgow on the train. Edinburgh to Glasgow is another hour on the train. However, if you are staying in Glasgow it should be easier to get accomodation. I have a few friends that are staying here rather than in Edinburgh

Good point, I was referring to train time from Glasgow though. Glasgow to Edinburgh is just over 3/4s of an hour having double checked train times myself rather than trust my friends 1/2 hour anecdotal advice. Hope this helps.
