I got an email and subsequent phone call from 'visa first' telling me that i can apply for residency and get it within 6-8 months because im on the critical skills list in oz.

6000$ it will cost. Anre they any good or are they the same way are taxback.com??

    Thanks in advance

I never used them, but they are essentially the same.

is that $6k inc visa fees?
if so that seems to be the standard rate for agents
my friend recently went through one and it cost approx 3.5k + visa fees so around 6k

but again these charge for things you can do yourself
yes they have experience and if you fill out teh form wrong they can tell you straight away etc, but if this is worth so much money is up to you.

Also you might want to independently check you are on the skills list etc.

I know someone who used them who got me to one of their red cow talks. They seem pretty decent.

Make sure they provide you a guarantee on the visa or else money back. Its worth it if the visa is guaranteed but a lot to shell out if its not

No company will give this, the aussie gov won't do this, so no one else will

    Em they have given this:

    What does our service provide?
We guarantee your visa. We have a fully qualified assessment team here who review all documents prior to lodgement. This means you will
not be refused your visa. It also means your visa will be processed quicker as all the paperwork is in order. We also do all the follow ups with
    immigration.

    where you get that?

    I get
    http://www.visafirst.com/en/australian_skilled_migrant_visa_faq.asp#faq9
Am I guaranteed an Australian General Skilled Migrant Visa?
No. The success of your application will depend on how well you meet the criteria for this Australia migration category.

There is no way you are guaranteed a visa - you may be 99.99% eligible, but never guaranteed

also is that 6k in Aussie dollars? Does it include the visa fee?
I know someone who's interested in a migration agent
