A banker from Spokane, Washington, in the USA, has rescued a brood of ducklings which hatched on a ledge.
Joel Armstrong was ready and waiting to help the ducklings down, after rescuing a brood from the same problem a year before.
    The clip
    is worth a look.

Send to BL to show how to put all the NAMA ducks in a row

How funny would it have been to see a redneck driving an 18wheeler smush then into the tarmac.

Ah, just about 2 weeks ago (may 5th, on the way home from a concert actually), my compadre and I stumbled upon some commotion and activity down by the canal, a fire truck and 6 firemen, I of course thought dead body, but then heard little squeaks, it turned out 4 ducklings had drifted down to one of the lower canal locks and weren't able to get out, there was nowhere to swim and they couldn't fly so were face to face with death if they didn't get out.

The man who called the fire truck was still there, he said he phoned them at about 5.30 and it was about 11 at this stage and the fire men had been there for about 3 or 4 hours trying to save these 4 little duckies. They had no nets or anything so had to make their own little contraption, it didn't really work so after ages trying to get them, they finally had the tactic of getting them over to a corner so another two could bend over to the water to pick them up, this failed a number of times but eventually the 4 ducklings were saved while their mother was going crazy watching, they were put in a little bucket and released further up the river and reunited with mama :)

In an age where animals are slaughtered by the millions every day for the bellies of humans, it's nice to see such dedication of 6 firemen, who had probably eaten twice the weight of the ducklings in meat between them that day, for 4 little ducks. 6 men, over 4 hours rescue, oh and just as they finally rescued them, another fire truck came blasting down for backup, so 2 fire trucks parked at the side of the canal with at least 8 men, there's hope for us yet :D

My gaff was burned to the ground on may 5th. while these lazy fcukers were off chasing down 4 ducks.

I had szechuan duck last night. Very tasty. The guy should have just let them all fall to their death. It's natural selection.
