I have about a hundred quids worth of music on my iphone. The other night my PC fried, taking my itunes installation with it. I tried installing itunrs on another computer and syncing my phone to that, but it keeps saying it wants to wipe the contents of the phone, which would cost me all my music and apps! :( has anyone else been in this situation? Is there any way I can rescue my music?

I download all my music for free and play it on my non-apple mp3 player.

    It's great.

There is a way to get around that. I have no idea how but I'm sure someone here will. Best of luck with it.

Turn off the auto sync option in iTunes or use EphPod

Something similar happened to me with a couple of album purchases disappearing from my iPod Touch when I synced with a 2nd PC. I ended up contacting Apple Support and they added my purchases back to my itunes account so that I could download them again. I'd suggest try them first if you purchased them through their store, they should be able to help you out.

Turning off auto sync doesn't work I think this was changed with a version of itunes, it still says the device is synced with a nother pc and it will ask to wipe before allowing you to add music.

Funny, €100's worth of music might only get you 100 songs. HA! ;-)

Turn off automatic sync and enable manually manage songs and videos.
